buttercup costume ideas?

Hey there!

Short of buying an outrageously expensive RenFest costume, can anyone suggest how to make a Buttercup costume? I'd like to go with either a fire swamp dress or bride's dress.

    Ive made a couple of these in the past and the bride dress really isnt all that hard to do. It does require yards of lace tho and that can get to be expensive. You can find basic empire waist dress patterns in butterick and simplicity and use those as your guides. I found that having screen shots of the dresses in the movies on hand were a helpful reference. Ill see if I can put a website together with dress screen shots to help in your quest :-)
